This song is both old and new. I came up with the fingerstyle figure waaaay back in 1984, but I completely re-tooled the lyric in 2003. I included it on my CD mostly because I have a certain fondness for the music after all these years. By the way, the "Valerie" character was inspired by a certain someone I sort-of dated back in the early 80's. (You wouldn't know her!)
