Lisa Hannah Debut CD "Brand New Sun" Produced by Paul Nielsen
I am proud to announce the holiday pre-release of "Brand New Sun," which is the debut record by singer/songwriter Lisa Hannah. I produced the project alongside Paul Taylor and Chip Martin. Check out Lisa's website and take a listen!

DEMO SERVICES
Many songs require fully-produced demos to capture the listener’s imagination. However, there are times when an intimate demo with only a handful of tracks will do the trick. And I can help. I produce high-quality guitar/voice-based demos in my studio (Soundhaven), located off of I-40 at Old Hickory, just west of downtown Nashville. I have good condenser microphones and state-of-the-art outboard gear. My pricing is flexible, but my base rate is $30/hour ($75 minimum per session), which includes performance and engineering. If your project involves a full-production treatment (i.e, with live drums), I can also arrange a separate session with one of my studio partners in the area. Please contact me for help with your next demo project (see the Contact page)!
MY GUITARS
I’m amazed at how often I am asked about the guitar I use in live performances. But I shouldn’t be surprised. For one thing, it has no logo on the headstock, and it does have a remarkable amplified sound!
The guitar is a Webber roundbody cutaway model made in Vancouver, BC in the mid-nineties. I bought it used at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, CA. At the time, I was actually in the market for a dreadnought, but I was so taken with this guitar’s intonation, harmonics, sustain and playability that I just had to have it. I had a Highlander bridge pickup installed by Bill Asher (at the now-defunct Traditional Music in Santa Monica). That was my pickup of choice because I had played a Washburn guitar with a Highlander pickup for a few years prior. I had simply fallen in love with the punch and the balanced tone of that guitar. A Highlander installation can be tricky because the pickup element sits in a mesh material, but let’s just say that Billy nailed it! Occasionally I will run the signal through a Baggs DI, which creates a sound larger than life.
My studio acoustic guitar is a sweet little Martin OM-28 that I purchased new in 1996 (also at McCabes). It sounded and felt great from the get-go, but now with some years on it, it is really starting to get guu-ud!!
